Marissa VanDeusen
Worship Arts & Choir Director

Marissa VanDeusen has known since she was a young girl that music would be a lifelong calling for her. After completing an undergraduate degree in Music Education, Marissa went on to complete a master’s degree in Vocal Performance, both in Greenville, SC. She has been privileged to direct worship at three churches over the last decade, and has also enjoyed teaching private and group piano and voice lessons from her studio in Chapin, SC.

When Marissa is not teaching, she enjoys laughing at her zany kids, restoring and building furniture with her husband, and designing and decorating homes. She is excited to join the faculty at Northside to use the talents God has given her to train the next generation to passionately serve Him!

Two verses that are meaningful to Marissa are 1 Peter 1:-6-7, which tell us, “In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ."
