Shannon Hickey has served in Christian education throughout the southeast for over 20 years. She has served in a variety of capacities; from teacher to international student director to athletic director head of school. Shannon fervently supports the mission of Christian education in providing a solid foundation for both spiritual direction and academics.

 

Shannon earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University (now Georgia Southern University) and her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Northcentral University. She has participated on accreditation review teams for AdvancED assisting in the evaluation of other schools for accreditation. Shannon is a long time, committed member of Rotary International where she has served in several capacities to include Executive Secretary, Youth Services Chair, and District Speaker.  She has also served on the Liberty County, Georgia/Armed Services YMCA Board of Directors and was a leader of the Liberty County Education Coalition.

 

Shannon is honored that God chose her to be a part of the Northside family. Shannon and her family relocated to the area from Georgia to be a part of the mission of Northside Baptist Church and Northside Christian Academy. She has been married to her husband Tom for 21 years and they have two children- Emily who is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and Tommy (10) who attends Northside Christian Academy.
