Lydia Dartt
Dean of Academics

I am excited to be joining Northside Christian Academy as the Dean of Academics! I grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia. I lived in the Atlanta area since 2003, and my family and I relocated to Lexington in July 2021. We  thought we would be in Georgia forever, but God prompted us to move and led us to Northside Christian Academy!

I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Biblical Studies from Cincinnati Bible College in Ohio, a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Milligan College in Tennessee, and an Education Specialist in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University in Virginia. Since I began teaching, I also obtained my endorsements in gifted education and elementary math, as well as added Middle Grades math to my teaching certificate. I have taught for 20 years and as a classroom teacher taught Kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. For my last 7 years teaching in Georgia, I taught in the gifted program as the gifted contact and taught grades 1-5 gifted enrichment, grades 3-5 advanced math, and 4th grade gifted Science and Social Studies. In my first school year in South Carolina, I taught 4th grade Math, Science, and Social Studies in Lexington District 1.

My husband, Michael, and I have been married for 14 years. Our children, Julia and Corey, attend Northside Christian Academy.

While certain Bible verses are more relevant to me at certain times in my life, my favorite for a long time has been Micah 6:8: “And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”

I look forward to working with the Northside family and serving with you!
