Dan Prescott
Upper School Math

Anything with the name of our Savior on it should be the best of its kind. Every year, my aim is
to innovate and improve personally as an educator and to reach and prepare as many students
as I possibly can.
I started teaching at a Christian school in California back in 1997. I’ve taught math almost every
year since, although my primary title the last decade or so was principal, I still managed to keep
at least one math class in my schedule because I enjoy it that much.
I have both an ACSI teaching credential and a Master’s degree in education with an emphasis
in curriculum design. I also have extensive tutoring experience, all the way through Calculus,
and I have 20+ years of volleyball coaching experience as well. Writing all that makes me feel
old; I’m not that old. :)
I moved to South Carolina to be closer to my family during the summer of 2019, leaving behind
the school I’d served at for over 22 years, and joining the Northside community as an upper
school math teacher and middle school volleyball coach.
I’m thankful for this opportunity to work alongside my brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s going to
be a great year!
